Facility Information
Tannery Pond Community Center is a 12,000 square foot performance space and arts venue located at 228 Main Street, North Creek, New York, in the Southern Adirondacks. Two dedicated benefactors, Elise and Woody Widlund, purchased the property, erected the building and donated it to the care of the Town of Johnsburg with an official ribbon cutting and dedication in 2002.
The Community Center sits across from Town Hall and the library and is only a short stroll from Main Street restaurants and businesses, the North Creek Mosaic Project, and North Creek Depot Museum.
The Community Center houses large multipurpose rooms that can be used for public meetings, community education, workshops, and classes; a two-story auditorium and stage area for community entertainment, private events, and other gatherings; and multiple lobby areas for art exhibits, receptions, and craft shows. It also has classrooms, conference rooms and flexible community meeting spaces and is a hub for regional arts, culture, and social experiences.
